(AP) ? You may joke about British food killing you, but what an Englishman did to some of our cancer drugs is no laughing matter.
Richard Taylor has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for distributing damaged cancer treatment drugs to physicians. He admitted in his plea there were problems with some of the cancer drugs he distributed from the United Kingdom to physicians in Missouri and elsewhere in the U.S.
Taylor apparently kept shipping some of the prescription drugs, even after learning multiple U-S doctors had received those that were warm once they got there. Some prescription drugs need to be shipped and stored at constant cold temperatures. Taylor also admitted he imported a counterfeit cancer drug.
