tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Business/Accounting and Finance, beginning August 2013. Initial appointment is for three
years. Ph.D. in Business, Economics or related field preferred; graduate study in Business beyond the Masters level considered; teaching
experience at the college level required; professional experience and relevant certification in finance desirable.
Teaching load is four courses (12 credits) per semester. Applicants should have teaching interest and capacity in principles of finance and upper-level courses in finance, such as business policy, financial modeling, investments, portfolio theory, international finance, or capital budgeting. Candidates should also exhibit enthusiasm for and proficiency in teaching undergraduates, show potential for research and professional development, and be willing to participate in all phases of departmental, divisional, and college activities.
Business is a four-year baccalaureate program that offers concentrations in accounting (financial and managerial), finance, information systems, management (general and human resources), and marketing. Introductory courses in finance are taken by all Business majors.
