Partner promotion season is in full swing.
Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati has promoted nine attorneys to partner, including one in Washington. Gary Greenstein, formerly of counsel, will take the title of partner effective February 1. Greenstein is an attorney in the firm's intellectual property practice where he focuses on licensing and commercial transactions.
O'Melveny & Myers promoted six to its partnership, including one lawyer based in Washington. Senior Counsel David Leviss takes the title of partner starting January 1. Leviss works out of the firm's white collar defense and corporate investigations group. He defends corporations and individuals from whistleblower qui tam actions and civil and criminal enforcement actions.
Jones Day elected four attorneys to partner in D.C. Jacqueline Holmes, Kenneth Nunnenkamp, Douglas Pearson and Grant Willis take the title starting January 1. Holmes and Nunnenkamp are presently of counsel, while Pearson and Willis are associates.
Holmes is a member of the firm's issues and appeals practice, where she focuses on litigation and disputes involving federal and state regulatory agencies. Nunnenkamp is a member of the government regulation practice and focuses on export transactional due diligence, investigations, disclosures, and audits for defense and technology companies. Pearson is a member in the intellectual property practice and focuses on patent litigation and patent procurement. Willis is a member of the firm's government regulation practice and focuses on litigation and counseling related to government procurement.
Venable named six attorneys to partner, including four in Washington?Ellen Traupman Berge, Sarah Johnson, Dismas Locaria and Jonathan Pompan. Berge, Johnson and Pompan are of counsel, while Locaria is an associate.
Berge, a member of the government and regulatory affairs practice, focuses her practice on transactional, regulatory, litigation, and policy matters for direct marketers, among others. Johnson focuses on estate planning and administration, business succession planning and charitable giving. Locaria, with the government contracts group, focuses his practice on government contractors. Pompan co-chairs the firm's Consumer Financial Protection Bureau task force and focuses on providing legal and regulatory advice to clients.
Other firms, including Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher have already announced partner promotions.
